BCC company and Call Centre news

Former employees of BCC Marketing have been remembered for their good work. Three out of the nine offices at BCC Marketing have been named after former employees Pat Brown, Dawn Roberts and Vicky Greenhalgh.

Mrs Brown, who lived at Burns Road, Wellingborough and died of lung cancer in 2002, worked for the firm as a senior supervisor and quality controller between April, 1989 and October, 2001.

Her husband Harry, 58, and daughters Frances, 35, and Fiona, 25, attended the unveiling ceremony. Mr Brown said "I think she would have been proud".

Former supervisor Dawn Roberts, 46, of Queensway, Wellingborough, left the company in 2001 to work at Morrisons. Mrs Roberts, who has three grown-up daughters and two grandsons, said "It's a nice thing to do. I left the company for a change. I had been there for 12 years and thought it was about time to move on".

Vicky Greenhalgh, 30, worked as a senior telemarketing operator at the company from 1993 to 2000 before leaving to have children. She now works at Next, Riverside, Northampton.

Mrs Greenhalgh, of Osprey Lane, Wellingborough, said: "I was a bit shocked when I found out the company wanted to name an office after me but it's very nice."

BCC's Managing Director, James Prince said, "The people we have chosen to name the offices after were chosen because they were particularly good operators and they gave service to the company above and beyond the call of duty."
